The theme for Homecoming 2017 is “Cruising to a Victory”.  Floats can be anything relating to a mode of transportation (cars, train, boat, rocket ship, plane, etc…)

                        No Activities Scheduled

 

Wednesday   Wall Street Wednesday-Preppy/Business

1st & 2nd Homeroom to work on floats, banners, etc

3rd & 4th Period-Middle School Carnival $3

                           High School- Popcorn, Coke, and Movie

5th Period-NORMAL SCHEDULE

6th & 7th Period-High School-Carnival $3

                           Middle School-Popcorn, Coke, and Movie

1st & 2nd  -Middle School Olympics

3rd & 4th –High School Olympics

5th Period – No Activity-LUNCH

6th & 7th Period –Sr vs Faculty Volleyball Game

           

Night-Powder Puff Football Game 6:00 p.m. **** WE WILL BE CROWNING THE HOMECOMING KING AT THE POWDER PUFF GAME!!!

 

Friday             Hornet Fanatic Friday-Spirit Day

9:15-    Spirit walk with the band

            9:30-    Pep Rally

                        Cheerleaders will perform.

Seniors Walk in and out together.  Seniors need to line up outside of the front of the gym at 9:25, they will exit the same way at the end of the pep rally.  Seniors need to pick a song to walk in and out tono vulgarity of any kindLet me know the song to get approval.

Spirit stick winners will be awarded for MS and HS

 

            1:00     Students will be released from school

Parade line-up begins: Line-up is on Thomas Street this year and begins at 1:00 with the parade beginning at 2:00.  There will be SGA representatives there at line-up to help you find your spot.  We ask, on behalf of the City of Cottondale, that you do not throw out candy. ALL FLOATS NEED TO BE DISPLAYED BEHIND THE HOME BLEACHERS DURING THE GAME.

Homecoming activities during halftime

Homecoming Queen and Overall Class Winners will be awarded at Half-time

 

 

 

Olympics

Each grade needs to choose 6 boys and 6 girls to compete in Olympics.

 

SPIRIT HORNETS

SGA will be selling Spirit Hornets for 10 cents each.  The class that buys the most spirit hornets will be awarded 100 points.  The next class with the most will receive 75 points, then 50 points, then 25 points.

 

Spirit Decorations-

This year instead of doing door decorations we want every grade (MS & HS) to put Spirit Decorations above their assigned section of the bleachers in the gym.  Decorations will be judged during the pep rally.  (You may decorate your section however you like as long as you stay within your boundaries.  Any materials may be used.)  Spirit Decorations need to reflect SCHOOL SPIRIT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OVERALL HOMECOMING CLASS COMPETITION

Points will be awarded as follows:

            4th-25 (HS will only have a 4th place)

Dress up will not count toward overall points this year but will be just for fun!!!

 

Spirit Stick-One class in MS and One class in HS will be awarded the spirit stick during the pep rally.  This class will be awarded 100 points.
