George W. Jenkins Scholarship at Florida Southern College:
Priority Deadline 1: January 31, 2025
Regular Deadline 2: February 28, 2025
To be considered, students must: Be entering Florida Southern College as a first-time freshman. Be admitted to Florida Southern by the application deadline. Have attained a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in college preparatory subjects. Submit a completed FAFSA and demonstrate financial need as determined by FSC's Financial Aid Office. Required: A completed FAFSA (The FAFSA is available online in December). *Submit two letters of reference that fully describe your merit and significant adversity faced in detail. Submit a Jenkins Scholarship Essay. In 800 words or less, the essay should address the following, with significant emphasis on the third point: Why do you want to attend Florida Southern College? How receiving the George W. Jenkins Scholarship would impact you? What special circumstances have you faced, specifically your history of facing and overcoming significant adversity?

Argo Spirit Application at University of West Florida: Application Deadline: March 1, 2025 The University of West Florida awards select Pell-eligible students each year with the Argo Spirit Scholarship. This full-ride award honors strength of character, or Argo Spirit," and includes:
- Full tuition and mandatory fees.
- On-campus housing.
- A meal plan.
- An $800 per-semester book stipend.
Students who have overcome obstacles, fought for something important, or made an impact while in high school are encouraged to apply. Their impact can be in the form of leadership, family contribution, or community engagement. High school GPA and standardized test scores are not taken into consideration.This unique opportunity is focused specifically on character and not academics. We can't wait to hear how students have been making a difference, and we're excited to see the change they'll make at UWF!
Biletnikoff Award: From the website https://biletnikoffaward.com/about-scholarships/ : This scholarship program recognizes the students’ excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. Foundation scholars have succeeded in spite of significant physical, mental, emotional, environmental, and other challenges faced and overcome during their young-adult lives. The Foundation evaluates their academic achievements, character, involvement in school and community activities, as well as the “nature of the challenges they have overcome.” Applicants do not have to play a high school sport to qualify. The Foundation typically awards fifteen scholarships each year. The Foundation will review any application that is postmarked on or before Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Applicants are urged to submit applications at any time beginning November 20, 2024, well before the March 11, 2025, deadline. Applicants may have their grade transcripts mailed and postmarked on or before March 11, 2025. Applications are accepted from high school seniors attending public, private, charter, or virtual high school in Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee, or Wakulla counties. West Florida Electric Cooperative is sponsoring a $1,000 educational scholarship to one eligible 2024 graduating student at each high school within the cooperative's four-county service area. These scholarships are for study at post-secondary or vocational/technical institutions. Applications are available from any WFEC office, high school guidance counselors or online. Deadline to apply: February 21, 2025 by 5PM
University of Chicago- UChicago provided over $200 million in financial support to its students in 2022, ensuring all students can attend UChicago free from financial burden. Streamlined financial aid and application processes, generous need-based and merit-based financial aid, and personalized career guidance grant you the freedom to fully immerse yourself in the enriching academic environment at UChicago. Free application, Families earning less than $60k can apply to attend free (tuition, housing, etc.) and families earning less than $125k per year can apply and earn free tuition. Early Decision II deadline January 15th.
The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program offers a full-ride merit scholarship to top students who are seeking academic engagement, leadership development, and opportunities to improve their communities through service. Students must apply to UT Dallas through Common App well before the December 1, 2024, priority deadline; the McDermott application is due by December 1, 2024.
The J. Ollie Edmunds Distinguished Scholarship Program at Stetson University is a competitive merit-based college undergraduate scholarship. To access the J. Ollie Edmunds Scholarship Program application, you must first apply to Stetson University and then an option to apply for the program will appear within your Hatter Portal. All documents should be received by the Office of Admissions by December 1.
The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four year, merit scholarship that can be used at any accredited college or university in the Unites States. Any High school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2026 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply.)
Do you know a high schooler passionate about agriculture or nutrition? Or maybe they simply love to write? They could win up to $1,500 in college funding through the new Florida Farm to School Essay Contest! This Farm to School Month, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness (FNW) invites students to submit an original essay responding to one of three topics, reflecting on the contributions of Florida farmers and the benefits of eating locally grown foods. Florida State University's Service Scholar program recognizes students with an outstanding record of community service and leadership who want to continue that commitment at FSU. The American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship is a bi-annual award. There are five (5) awards given with each bi-annual deadline – with a total of ten (10) college scholarships awarded for each school year. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 each. All high school students are eligible to apply – classes of 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.The application is free and the student does NOT need to demonstrate financial need in order to qualify. Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
Students need a 3.0 GPA and to complete an online application that requires no essays, no recommendations, and no transcripts by September 30, 2024, at 5 p.m. Eastern.
The 2024-25 application is open to high school seniors until 5 p.m. Eastern on September 30, 2024. This is earlier than previous years.
